PAP Jalandhar is the head quarter for Punjab Armed Police
men. This institution is the only place where armed policemen of Punjab are trained
and assigned important and complex duties. Before BSF came into existence, PAP used
to protect the most
sensitive border of the country common with Pakistan. PAP Jawans
have excelled in police professionalism and in the field of games and sports. A
number of international players in hockey, weight lifting, volley ball, kabaddi,etc.
have their foundation in PAP. The campus is in a huge area and is complete in itself
in the areas of housing, sports grounds, training equipment, halls, schools, hospital,
swimming pool etc.
