Chandigarh: A case of arrest of Forest Range Officer Budhlada Sukhwinder Singh in corruption case has come to light by the team of Punjab Vigilance. It is being told that the said officer, in connivance with Forest Officer Mansa Amit Chauhan and others, has embezzled lakhs of rupees by preparing fake bills of fake firms, after which Vigilance has arrested them today. 

Giving information, a spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that a case was already registered against the said officer regarding this matter. During the investigation, it has been found that Sukhwinder Singh, who has been posted as Range Officer Budhlada in 2021, has embezzled lakhs of rupees in association with Amit Chauhan and other officers, after which Vigilance has tightened the noose.

Former Deputy CM of Punjab Sukhbir Badal did not appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT). He was summoned and called for questioning in the Kotkapura shooting incident. Sukhbir Badal was asked to appear at 10.30 am on Tuesday. Instead of coming to Chandigarh, Sukhbir Badal appeared in Zira Court. Sukhbir Badal said that he did not get any summons.
